Three key elements to improve Leadership

great leadership is the key to success. great communication is the key to great leadership. Think of any great leader in modern times: Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., and John F. Kennedy come to mind immediately. They were powerful leaders because they could inspire people to follow them. It 'been their ability to articulate their vision that has made them successful in achieving their goals.

In your organization you must be a leader who inspires the team to great heights. To make them follow you, be sure they are listening to your values and your vision, and then establish the right environment for them to prosper and grow.

Values

When I mentioned values, all nodding their heads, as if, of course, Kerri, of course. But when I check up on this piece, I find the last time they discussed their values - personal and professional - with their team, this was often in the first interview that their people were also recruited.

You need to know clearly your personal values and the values of your organization to lead effectively. For example, the answers to these questions come to mind?

Personally:

1. What we stand for?
2. What is most important to you?
3. What do you want your life to prove?
4. What is your personal mission in life?

Professionally:

1. What we stand for?
2. What are you willing to do to get new business?
3. What you are not willing to do?
4. Do you have a mission statement professional?

The leaders are not qualitatively change their values over time or to succeed in the short term. Coherent system of core values of organization constitute a solid basis for long-term success.

A simple definition is that your values are the rules with which you play the game. A well-defined system of values makes all the decisions easier and encourage your team to go where you lead.

Vision

It 's easy to say you have a vision for your business. It's your lifeblood. You know inside and out. Write down is the next step. Widely shared with your team is essential too. More importantly, your vision for the company must provide a unified framework so that everyone in the team - regardless of job function - can see exactly where you're going and the importance of their role in getting there. Therefore, the concept clearer and clearer (ie short and simple), the message is, the more likely, and your team can reach the goal. Your vision must answer three questions. And you must answer these three questions for the whole team.

1. What do we do?
2. How we do it
3. For those who do?

As Jim Collins has shown in his book, From Good to Great, this is not a 30 minutes, an exercise in meeting. This requires 100% participation. It can not be a decision from top to bottom. It must be an iterative and inclusive.

Environment

Andrew Carnegie, said. "You must capture and keep the heart of a man supremely original and first grade in his brain can do its best" When you understand what is at the heart of your team members, you can serve them and enable them to reach their full potential. The value of their uniqueness. The team members are your internal customers. Li is to be treated, at least as well as your external customers. This is the highest level of customer service.

Shape the work environment right and you have team members to lead the faithful. This means that you must create a work environment that respects each person, appreciates them and reward their efforts, and encourages openness to change. Make it a safe environment that promotes looking for new ideas. When you unleash the creative staff, each team member has a stake in the outcome. It 'an environment that fosters growth at all levels. Combine all three elements and you have a formula for the magnitude of inspiration and that determine the success of innovation. Do it now!
